About the Role of Sr OSINT Analyst at BAE Systems, Inc.

BAE Systems is actively seeking a highly skilled geospatial open source analyst to provide in-depth research and analytical support to a key government customer. In this critical role, you will be responsible for responding to requests for information promptly, delivering both comprehensive source documentation and succinct summary information. Projects are diverse, covering various topics and geographical regions, and require a proficient blend of classified and open sources. This includes leveraging commercial databases, open and proprietary geospatial resources, news and social media, and client-specific applications. Success in this position involves close collaboration with customers and fellow geospatial open source analysts to formulate and execute effective research strategies.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience in open source research, all-source analysis, or a similar analytical capacity.
• Ability to commit to a rotating shift schedule (typically 6 AM to 6 PM or 6 PM to 6 AM, subject to customer change) for time-dominant mission support. Telework options are available when not engaged in time-dominant operations.
• Demonstrated familiarity with fundamental research techniques, advanced database searching, and accurate standard source citations.
• Proficiency in researching, synthesizing, and organizing complex findings for clear presentation to customers across various formats, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, PDF, and KML/Shapefile.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Proven capability to meet stringent deadlines and fulfill customer requirements while operating with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valuable foreign language expertise is a significant advantage.
• Practical experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) or imagery applications, such as ArcGIS or RemoteView.
• Familiarity with analytic visualization software like Palantir or Analysts Notebook.
• Prior experience in formal briefing is considered a plus.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Geographic Information Systems, Library Science, Foreign Policy) is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The full-time salary range for this position is $81,156 - $137,964. Individual salaries are determined by multiple factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
