Principal IT Security Specialist at BAE Systems, Inc.
BAE Systems is actively seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Principal IT Security Specialist to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role involves providing crucial support to the United States Army Europe-Africa's (USAREUR-AF) data and computing modernization initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in configuring and integrating systems that bolster mission command decision-making, enhance interoperability and C2 data sharing across US, NATO, and coalition partners, and support the command’s vision for distributed command post operations.
As a Principal IT Security Specialist, you will be deeply involved in integrating C4 and cyberspace operations, while simultaneously offering security cooperation support. This includes the assessment, planning, coordination, and execution of client C4 and cyberspace security cooperation and interoperability programs. You will serve as an advisor, interfacing with Allies and partners on C4/Cyber matters, covering DOTMLPF-I (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Interoperability), and actively planning and executing C4/Cyber related programs and processes, alongside providing comprehensive analytical support.
Furthermore, this role is critical in safeguarding networks against unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. You will research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, communicate, and implement cutting-edge security software and devices. Responsibilities also include implementing, enforcing, communicating, and potentially developing internet, network, or other information security policies and plans for data, internet, software applications, hardware, telecommunications, and computer installations.
This is a hybrid position with work locations that may include Sterling, VA; Rockville, MD; Mount Laurel, NJ; Orlando, FL; and Huntsville, AL. Other major BAE Systems work locations may also be considered.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience, training, and/or certifications can be substituted for a degree. Relevant experience is defined as job-related work that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for this role. A working knowledge and proficiency in using Microsoft Office is also required.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Ideal candidates will have:
- Knowledge of DoD Acquisition Regulations
- Classroom experience with modeling and simulation
- Previous experience directly supporting the United States Army Europe-Africa’s (USAREUR-AF) data and computing modernization efforts
- CISSP certification
Compensation & Benefits
The full-time salary range for this position is $115,779 - $196,825. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
