About the role
About The Role
As a Senior Business Operations Manager at Backlight, you will be instrumental in optimizing business workflows and owning key systems within our go-to-market (GTM) tech stack. Your primary focus will be to enhance operational efficiency and directly support our revenue objectives. You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, data, and other cross-functional teams to streamline processes, ensure seamless system integration, and pioneer our evolution into an AI-first revenue organization. This role involves guiding the organization through significant change and managing associated projects. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in sales or revenue operations, expertise in operations technology, advanced Salesforce administration skills, and a proven ability to leverage and promote emerging technologies.Key Responsibilities
- Implement and administer Backlight's GTM tech stack, including Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Gong, Chili Piper, LinkedIn, and other industry-standard products.
- Influence the strategic direction of our business technology by proposing and shaping strategic projects.
- Drive the adoption and strategic utilization of both internally-developed and third-party AI tools within the Revenue organization.
- Mentor junior team members, enhancing their skills in team technology and guiding them toward best practices.
- Support business stakeholders in creating CRM reports and dashboards, and implement improvements to our CRM data schema where reporting is currently limited.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify opportunities for process enhancement.
- Develop and deliver training programs, documentation, and ongoing support to the GTM team regarding workflows and tooling.
- Champion best-in-class data hygiene through strategies such as validation rules, manual and automated reviews, and user training.
- Create playbooks for efficient, repeatable business processes across various areas, including billing & dunning, account provisioning, customer handoffs, and product feedback.
Qualifications
Required
- 6+ years of experience in sales/revenue/business operations, Salesforce administration, or project management.
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce configuration, administration, and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in leveraging AI and agents within a revenue context for analysis, personalization, research, enrichment, and systems development.
- Ability to translate ambiguous, complex business problems into clear requirements and technical solutions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience mentoring teammates and acting as a player-coach both within the team and cross-functionally.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a high-growth, fast-paced B2B software environment.
- Experience leading complex change management programs across cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing Salesforce Experience Cloud for PRM.
- Comfort with integration technologies such as APIs, webhooks, Apex, and Python.
