This is a remote-first company with HQ members across the U.S. and Canada. While the role is primarily remote, occasional travel to the Emeryville, CA office and select off-sites is required.
Role Overview: Principal HR Business Partner
The Principal HR Business Partner drives talent and business outcomes. Reporting to the SVP, People, you will partner with leaders across Babylist on organizational design, development, performance management, and employee relations. You are expected to challenge the status quo, simplify complexity, and develop clear, practical solutions aligned with Babylist’s values.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to implement HR programs and structures.
- Provide strategic insights on talent, performance, and development.
- Manage complex employee relations and change management initiatives.
- Coordinate with recruiting, compensation, and training teams.
- Support offsite planning and curriculum development for team building.
Qualifications
This role requires 10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in an HRBP role in a high growth tech environment. A robust generalist background in talent development, employee relations, performance management, and employment law is essential. Proficiency in data interpretation, strong communication skills, and experience with Apple products, Google Suite, and Slack are required. Bonus knowledge in Paylocity, Charthop, Carta, Lattice, and Radford is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges from $148,985.00 to $223,436.00, based on experience, skills, and location. In addition to competitive pay, equity, bonus opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package (including company-paid health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and generous paid leave) are offered.
