About the Role

Join Babbel in Berlin as a Senior Fullstack Engineer - Monetization and change the future of language learning. Work in a small team alongside experts and researchers to ideate and validate new spaces for Babbel.

Your Mission

You will deliver value iteratively by building high-quality applications and features while owning a rich ecosystem of applications and services. You will work as part of a Monetization team to build end-to-end payment features and propose architectural improvements.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and own a diverse set of applications and services.
• Implement end-to-end payment features and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on design decisions and technical debt assessment.
• Shape coding guidelines and quality standards.
• Address bugs, incidents, and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

You are a good communicator and comfortable with a backend-heavy role involving AWS and infrastructure management. You possess proficient knowledge in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in AWS, NoSQL databases, and component-based frontend frameworks like React/NextJS.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech or payments, ideally with Stripe.
• Knowledge of Monitoring and Observability tools (DataDog, CloudWatch, PagerDuty, Rollbar).
• Experience with CICD pipelines using Github actions and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
