About the Role: Business Data Steward at B. Braun Group
Within the Digital Process Development department of the Center of Excellence Pharmaceuticals, Hospital Care division, B. Braun Group is seeking a Business Data Steward for their Melsungen location. This role is crucial for the digitalization and automation of international processes. As a Business Data Steward, you will be responsible for the digital processing and management of product and process-relevant data used by the organizational unit, ensuring the application of defined business data within your data domain.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Act as a global point of contact for Data Operators and Data End Users of product data, and process owners within defined data domains of the pharmaceutical Product Lifecycle in the context of data products.
- Drive the definition of data models using appropriate tools (e.g., dataspot) in collaboration with process coordinators and data architects, considering Data Governance rules and business requirements.
- Ensure data collection, storage, and usage for continuous end-to-end data lineage of business processes within the organizational unit, in coordination with and support from the Corporate Data Framework.
- Identify critical data elements, improve (meta)data quality, and ensure compliance with Data Integrity guidelines through Data Profiling (Databricks) and Data Cleansing.
- Conduct product data integration and support the qualification and validation of PLM processes and systems within digital transformation projects and initiatives, in coordination with relevant stakeholders (Business, Digital Foundation, Project Team).
- Develop and actively deliver training on best practices and tools for data quality to further support business operations.
Required Professional Competencies
- Successfully completed Bachelor's degree with a focus on Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration.
- Practical experience in data management, data governance, or similar areas.
- Ideally, knowledge of tools for data management, quality, and profiling.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and German.
