Your Impact as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Within the APX SRE organization, you will focus on delivering practical, scalable solutions to support the reliability and performance of Axon’s global Kubernetes platform. Your responsibilities include building robust platforms and tools, writing clean and efficient code, and improving system documentation to enhance the developer experience.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain Kubernetes platforms and tools.
- Apply cloud-native SRE best practices on cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
- Write performant, maintainable, and concise code.
- Debug issues in cloud-native distributed systems.
- Educate engineering teams on new architectural patterns.
- Document platforms for self-service access by engineers.
- Continuously improve reliability, operability, and cost efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years in Platform engineering and container orchestration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, C#, or Java.
- Skilled in code collaboration using GitHub, ArgoCD, etc.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, observability tools, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Strong empathy for the needs of software engineers.
Location & Work Arrangement
This role is based in Atlanta, GA with a hybrid work schedule: onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, remote on Mondays.
