About the role
Consultant in Quantitative Finance Market Analysis
Join a rapidly growing consulting firm and work with key players in the financial and insurance sectors on stimulating projects. Collaboration and efficiency are at the heart of our approach to helping clients solve their challenges and problems.
Your Background and Skills:
You have a higher education degree (Bac+5) from a top engineering or actuarial school, or a university, with a specialization in financial markets and applied mathematics.
You have a minimum of 9 years of professional experience in financial markets, gained within a consulting firm and/or a financial institution.
During this experience, you have confirmed your taste for solving complex problems. You are recognized for your interpersonal skills and team spirit.
Technical Expertise:
Technically, you have an excellent understanding of financial markets and solid knowledge in stochastic calculus and numerical methods (Monte Carlo, PDE...).
More specifically, your mastery of statistical and stochastic fundamentals allows you to critically assess proposed models, their performance, and their applicability in valuation and risk measurement frameworks (model validation, market risk, counterparty risk, internal model).
You are also capable of developing tactical simulation tools to challenge assumptions and illustrate validation approaches.
Finally, knowledge of regulatory frameworks for market and counterparty risk management (Basel II/III and recent evolutions of internal approaches) is highly desirable, as is a good understanding of governance issues, independent model validation, and risk control, including key methodological frameworks such as FRTB, Internal Model Approach (IMA), Expected Shortfall (ES), Default Risk Charge (DRC), and Modellable Risk Factors (NMRF).
Mission Details:
You will be involved in consulting, organization, and project management missions in financial markets, primarily in Front Office, Middle Office, and Risk Management.
Missions cover issues of risk model validation and analysis, as well as independent review work on pricing and risk measurement methodologies, in complex and regulated market environments. You will work on subjects ranging from methodological review to assessing data quality, assumptions, and control mechanisms.
In this particular role, you will handle quantitative analysis topics such as financial product modeling or the design and validation of risk calculation methods, integrating advanced risk metrics and measurement frameworks used in internal approaches (FRTB, IMA, ES, DRC, NMRF).
Beyond the missions you lead, you will participate in the construction of the firm through our various internal initiatives (recruitment, training, tender participation, business development, innovation, etc.).
Professional English proficiency is required for this position.
