About the Role
The Construction & Development Counsel at Axiom will join the real estate team to provide legal support for Fortune 500 clients. This role involves handling land use planning, development approvals, and regulatory compliance for large-scale infrastructure and real estate projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support on land use planning, development approvals, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements including CCDC, EPCM, and engineering services agreements.
- Advise on legal risk, project structuring, and procurement strategy across the project lifecycle.
- Support cross-functional teams on Indigenous consultation, land access, and stakeholder relations.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in Canada with 5+ years of relevant experience in construction, real estate development, or infrastructure law.
- Proven experience with CCDC, EPCM, and major construction/engineering contracts.
- Strong knowledge of planning frameworks, municipal approvals, and regulatory regimes in Canada.
- Experience with Indigenous consultation and land relations is a plus.
