Network Engineer at Axen.ai
We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to join Axen.ai. In this fully remote role based in Germany, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing our network infrastructure. This position is ideal for candidates who excel at troubleshooting network issues, enhancing performance, and ensuring reliable connectivity within a remote-first work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain network systems, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement effective improvements.
- Troubleshoot network problems and provide timely, effective resolutions.
- Ensure best practices in network security, compliance, and redundancy are consistently met.
- Collaborate closely with IT, security, and operations teams on various network-related projects.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures thoroughly.
- Assist with network upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
- Support network-related aspects of broader IT projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Junior–Mid-Level Engineer with 0–4+ years of relevant experience in network administration or engineering.
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Basic understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP is a significant plus).
- Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured working style.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote-first environment.
- Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluent in English.
- Must be based in Germany with legal authorization to work full-time.
