Job Title: Data Scientist / Pricing Officer
Division: Finance
Department: AXAPH FI Actuarial
Reporting To: Actuarial Controls Director
Number of Direct Reports: 0
Main Purpose of the Job
Support the growth of GI Motor business by performing pricing processes adherent to AXA’s Product Pricing guidelines.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct data analysis using statistical techniques and data mining methods to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Provide technical support for product initiatives and campaigns balancing business growth and profitability.
- Recommend premium rates for new and existing products aligned with AXA’s product standards.
- Recommend appropriate assumptions for product pricing.
- Develop pricing models consistent with product features and assumptions.
- Generate profitability and sensitivity results; analyze key product risks.
- Assist in product design adjustments to increase market competitiveness.
- Monitor profitability and key risks; advise on repricing or product pull-out if required.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Master's is an advantage).
- Associate/ Near Associate level in a recognized actuarial institute is a plus.
- 2 to 5 years relevant experience in business-oriented teams (GI or retail insurance advantageous).
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical, strategic thinking.
- Experience with at least one programming language (SQL, SAS, Python, R, etc.).
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information accurately.
- Strong presentation and story-telling skills to convey complex technical concepts.
