Overview

AXA XL is seeking an AI Application Portfolio Owner in London, UK. In this role, you will lead the continuous development and management of enterprise AI-enabled business applications and tools, ensuring they are aligned with software engineering best practices and governed appropriately.

Role Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business Product Owner to plan and prioritise execution of both user-facing and technical features. Work with Architecture and Data & AI Platforms teams to define solution and technical designs, and develop scalable, maintainable applications. Oversee transition of applications throughout their lifecycle, ensuring proper documentation and risk remediation.

• Lead Agile planning and execution of AI applications
• Manage application lifecycle from development to decommissioning
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for technical design
• Maintain IT records and manage risk remediation actions
• Supervise a team of data scientists, developers, and contractual staff

Required Skills and Experience

This role is intended for a senior data science professional or engineering manager with extensive technical delivery experience, strong Agile background (Scrum/Kanban), and expertise in application development, preferably with Python. Experience with technologies such as Azure AI, Databricks, Kubernetes, and LLMs is desirable.
