IT Transformation & Core Systems Lead

As the IT Transformation & Core Systems Lead at AXA Hong Kong and Macau, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our IT landscape by partnering with business divisions to define project and BAU scopes. Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to solution delivery and ongoing advisory.

Responsibilities

• Planning: Partner with business divisions to define project and BAU scopes, ensuring clear articulation of business objectives, outcomes, and success measures during project/demand initiation. Establish project and demand timelines, selecting appropriate implementation approaches and methodologies.
• Business Advisory: Advise business stakeholders on the value, capabilities, and best-use scenarios of RPA and related applications. Contribute to business proposals and feasibility studies, ensuring technical requirements, assumptions, and constraints are accurately represented.
• Solution Delivery: Lead the delivery of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions and Business Process Flows using UiPath and related technologies. Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage the full application lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and support. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and cross-functional IT teams to drive successful project outcomes. Define project objectives and develop actionable delivery plans that align with AXA’s policies, standards, security, and quality requirements. Manage project timelines, cost estimates, resource allocations, and progress status, ensuring transparency and effective communication. Coordinate project team members, assign responsibilities, and facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure on-time delivery. Implement IT delivery strategies that ensure solutions are delivered within budget, scope, and schedule. Utilize project management tools to monitor performance metrics, milestones, risks, and dependencies. Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues impacting delivery. Organize and lead project meetings, steering committees, and stakeholder reviews to track progress and align expectations.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT solution delivery, including at least 3 years in the insurance or financial services industry.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on knowledge of UiPath development, orchestration, and automation lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with other RPA platforms such as Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, or equivalent automation tools is an advantage.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and OpenPass platform is an advantage.
• Good understanding of the full system development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance practices.
• Working knowledge of API integration and AS/400 RPG/ILE development in an insurance/financial context is an advantage.

Professional Skills

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience working across Asian markets, with awareness of cultural characteristics and diverse work styles, is an advantage.
