About the role
Consolidation Expert - AXA Group Operations
As a Consolidation Expert at AXA Group Operations, you will play a crucial role in preparing the mother company's consolidated accounts in accordance with IFRS standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statement analysis, coordinating budgeting and forecasting with various stakeholders, and managing the financial reporting closing process. This position offers the opportunity to work within a leading global insurance company undergoing a significant digital transformation.
Main Missions & Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly consolidated figures from statutory accounts, including extraction of general trial balances from SAP S/4HANA and performing IFRS restatements in Excel.
- Submit AXA Group Operations consolidated figures to the Group and ensure a full audit trail for statutory to IFRS reporting differences.
- Manage the quarterly closing process, analyze actual P&L/balance-sheet against forecasts, and explain variances.
- Oversee intercompany reporting follow-up and reconciliation.
- Prepare supporting materials for management presentations to AXA Group and handle requests from Group Consolidation and Group Controlling teams.
- Ensure financial statements comply with Group Accounting policies and memos.
- Support the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive report elaboration.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
- Build a consolidation level covering all AXA Group Operations entities.
Expected Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Consolidation, Accounting, or Auditing, with a strong understanding of consolidation topics.
- Experience with general ledger systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) is highly valued.
- Previous experience within a Big 4 company is preferred but not mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of consolidation techniques under IFRS standards.
- Understanding of general accounting principles and policies.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP BFC Financial Consolidation (Magnitude) is a plus.
- Fluent in English and French.
