UK Statutory and Compliance Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) to join our UK Finance team in Bracknell. This role supports the UK Finance Manager ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements with a strong focus on statutory compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements including SOx, US GAAP, UK GAAP, and HMRC.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit statutory financial statements as per FRS 102.
• Reconcile US GAAP to UK GAAP for statutory reporting.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and manage related payments.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital requirements and support automation tools like Alteryx.
• Prepare and submit ONS returns and support SOx compliance activities.
• Liaise with external auditors and collaborate with the International Tax team.
• Assist with monthly close processes and EBITDA reporting.
• Monitor changes in UK GAAP and support ad hoc finance projects.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong practice background in financial statement preparation
• Experience with CaseWare is a plus
• Confident in preparing VAT returns and submissions
• Strong Excel skills and general ledger systems familiarity
• Proactive with a focus on process improvement
