About Commercial Project Manager

Position Summary
The Commercial Project Manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls project activities required for effective management of electronic security installation projects. This role coordinates with installation labor and sub-contractors, estimates and prices job charges, and works with financial and contract management tools to assure project profitability. It is also responsible for training and developing employees and ensuring installation quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan & schedule engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities on large or complex systems.
- Maintain current job plans, specifications, and construction schedules.
- Collaborate with the engineering department during design and drafting phases.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery.
- Develop and implement project installation plans and job procedures.
- Monitor subcontractors' performance and control costs.
- Manage project records, reports, and financial data.
- Estimate projects and stay current with industry standards and training.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree desirable.
- Five years of experience in electronic security systems engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge in engineering fundamentals, relay logic, PLC’s and operations.
- At least 2 years of project management experience.
Travel & Additional Details
Occasional travel may be required dependent on business needs.
