About the PLM BA - Functional Tester Role

Avanciers Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented BA - Functional Tester for an exciting opportunity with one of our Fortune 500 clients. In this remote role, you will be responsible for testing software applications to ensure they meet business and technical requirements and function as intended.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and functional requirements to create detailed test cases and scripts.
  • Design, develop, and execute functional and regression test plans.
  • Identify, report, and track software defects and issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams for defect resolution.
  • Perform system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Document test results and generate test reports.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and best practices.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills

Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field; 10 years of proven experience as a Functional Tester or Quality Assurance Analyst; Extensive experience on PLM projects; Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies; Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail; Ability to write clear test cases; Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISTQB or similar certification
  • Experience with Team Center PLM
  • Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium or QTP
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
