Platform Administration Lead

Avance Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Platform Administration Lead to join our team in Plano, TX. This full-time role requires a strong background in IT architecture and administration, particularly with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor a team, define enterprise platform strategies, and ensure the scalability, resilience, and security of our cloud, data, integration, and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement enterprise platform architecture for cloud, data, integration, and analytics platforms.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure platform solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Establish best practices for platform architecture, governance, and security.
• Lead technology roadmap and platform modernization initiatives.
• Implement network architecture, identity management, security frameworks, and cost optimization strategies.
• Drive automation through Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish platform monitoring, observability, and automated alerting frameworks.
• Implement capacity planning, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
• Deliver platform health metrics, risk assessments, and operational reports.
• Manage platform operations, incident management, and change governance.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, development teams, and business stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor platform administrators and engineers across multiple technology stacks.

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
• This position may require travel in the USA.
• At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology.
• Strong architecture and administration experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with platform automation, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and identity management.
• Proven experience as Platform Architect / Solution Architect.
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management.
• Ability to lead multi-technology platform teams.
