Platform Administration Lead
Avance Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Platform Administration Lead to join our team in Plano, TX. This full-time role requires a strong background in IT architecture and administration, particularly with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor a team, define enterprise platform strategies, and ensure the scalability, resilience, and security of our cloud, data, integration, and analytics platforms.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement enterprise platform architecture for cloud, data, integration, and analytics platforms.
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure platform solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Establish best practices for platform architecture, governance, and security.
- Lead technology roadmap and platform modernization initiatives.
- Implement network architecture, identity management, security frameworks, and cost optimization strategies.
- Drive automation through Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish platform monitoring, observability, and automated alerting frameworks.
- Implement capacity planning, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
- Deliver platform health metrics, risk assessments, and operational reports.
- Manage platform operations, incident management, and change governance.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, development teams, and business stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor platform administrators and engineers across multiple technology stacks.
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
- This position may require travel in the USA.
- At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology.
- Strong architecture and administration experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
- Experience with platform automation, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and identity management.
- Proven experience as Platform Architect / Solution Architect.
- Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management.
- Ability to lead multi-technology platform teams.
