Overview

The Consultant Cloud Azure Bilingue at Avanade supports clients by providing targeted technical engagements to enhance the reliability, continuity, and recoverability of their cloud environments. The role requires advanced Microsoft Azure expertise along with in-depth knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience, including the design and evaluation of Major Incident Response Plans (MIRP).

Responsibilities

  • Assess cloud infrastructure and overall resilience processes.
  • Design and evaluate Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity plans.
  • Analyze technical aspects including observability and failover setups.
  • Recommend improvements aligned with Azure Well-Architected Framework and SRE principles.
  • Document and communicate clear, actionable recommendations to clients.

Skills And Experiences

Minimum 5+ years experience in high availability (HA) and DR design for Microsoft Azure, strong knowledge of Azure architecture (infrastructure, availability zones, backup/recovery, monitoring), familiarity with native cloud resilience models and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and capability in developing effective MIRP aligned with SLAs. Experience in business continuity planning, incident response coordination, risk identification, and technical consulting is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience directing MIRP/DR testing programs, familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, SOC 2 Type II), and exposure to regulated industries. Practical experience with Azure BCDR tools (Azure Site Recovery, Backup Vaults, Azure Automation, Service Health Alerts), multi-cloud/hybrid environments, chaos engineering and DevOps pipeline integration for resilience validations is valued. Relevant certifications include Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation; additional certifications like DevOps Engineer Expert and cybersecurity or BC/DR certifications are preferred.
