About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Gateway Engineer with expertise in API Gateway and network operations. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Tyk or comparable gateways, platforms, and advanced networking capabilities. A minimum of two years' experience working with AWS cloud services is required.

Role Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering roles, with a minimum of 2 years working in AWS environments.
- API Gateway Platforms: Tyk preferred, but experience with similar gateways (DataPower, Kong, WSO2, etc.) will be considered.
- AWS: Minimum 2 years of experience with core services (EC2, VPC, API Gateway, IAM).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts such as routing, DNS, load balancing, and firewall rules.
- IaC & Automation: Basic experience with Terraform and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git or GitLab.
- Experience in regulated industries preferred.
- Golang development experience (or other major, Java, C#, Python)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/EKS).
- Proficiency with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic).
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API design patterns.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Associate, or other AWS Certification
What You Will Be Doing
- Gateway Engineering: Install, configure, and manage API Gateway platforms (Tyk, DataPower, Kong, WSO2). Support developer portals and gateway integrations.
- Network & Security: Configure VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups in AWS. Implement and maintain security policies such as OAuth, JWT, API keys.
- AWS Cloud Operations: Deploy and manage workloads on AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway). Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency.
- Automation & CI/CD: Assist in automating deployments and configurations using Terraform and scripting.
- Performance & Monitoring: Monitor API traffic, troubleshoot issues, and implement alerting and logging.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with senior engineers, developers, and security teams. Provide incident support and contribute to documentation.
