Job Description

About Autoliv

Autoliv's core mission is to Save More Lives. We are dedicated to increasing vehicle safety through the development of essential products like seatbelts, airbags, and steering wheels. Our commitment to quality is unwavering, as our products demand perfection on the first attempt. Join our team as an IT Automation Quality Assurance to contribute to this life-saving endeavor.

The Role: IT Automation Quality Assurance

As an IT Automation Quality Assurance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our automation solutions are reliable, secure, well-documented, and ready for widespread adoption across the organization. You will be responsible for coordinating testing efforts, upholding quality standards, providing first-level support for automation issues, and enhancing audit readiness within our automation landscape. Furthermore, you will actively promote automation awareness, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement initiatives through structured feedback mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance & Governance: Define and maintain robust quality standards for all automation deliverables. Review workflows for clarity, consistency, and operational soundness. Coordinate testing activities, verify expected outcomes, and ensure all issues are tracked and resolved prior to release. Validate release documentation, change notes, and test evidence. Ensure automation solutions are always audit-ready with comprehensive documentation, traceability, and approval history.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management: Create and maintain clear, concise documentation, including process flows, user guides, test records, and best-practice materials. Develop templates and guidelines to enforce documentation consistency across various automation teams. Maintain a central knowledge base containing standards, troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and audit artifacts.
  • Security & Compliance: Verify that all workflows adhere to governance rules, stringent security requirements, and compliance expectations. Ensure documentation accurately reflects access models, approval flows, and critical security considerations. Assist proactively in preparing automation solutions for both internal and external audits.
  • Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Provide essential first-level support for automation-related incidents or user knowledge gaps. Troubleshoot common issues, validate user inputs, and offer clear, actionable guidance. Escalate complex problems to engineering teams with detailed context and documented impact.
  • Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Systematically collect structured feedback from users, stakeholders, and workshop participants. Generate actionable insights for the automation development team to enhance reliability, usability, and the quality of documentation. Track recurring issues and propose architectural or process improvements.
  • Automation Promotion & Internal Marketing (support): Prepare engaging presentations, informative demos, and compelling success stories to highlight the value of automation. Communicate automation capabilities in a simple, accessible manner for both technical and non-technical audiences. Support adoption by helping teams understand available automations and how to effectively engage with them.
  • Community Building & Coordination (support): Organize and facilitate valuable workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and community events. Foster cross-team collaboration and ensure consistent standards are applied across different regions and business units. Gather community input to help shape future automation priorities.

What You Bring

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in documentation.
  • Ability to effectively translate complex technical concepts into clear, simple language.
  • Proven experience in coordinating testing, support processes, and structured reviews.
  • Comfort and proficiency in presenting, teaching, and promoting new initiatives across diverse teams.
  • A solid understanding of basic security principles, compliance expectations, and audit requirements.
  • Familiarity with automation concepts and IT operations, without needing deep hands-on engineering expertise.
