About the Role

Autodesk's Platform Services and Emerging Technology (PSET) team is looking for a Senior Software Developer Data Platform AWS. In this role, you will build and scale data platform infrastructure, design robust APIs for data platform management, architect scalable storage and compute solutions, and develop automation systems to ensure platform resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable APIs for data platform management.
  • Architect and scale data infrastructure processing billions of records daily.
  • Develop automation systems to ensure platform resilience.
  • Create tools and APIs to empower Autodesk teams.
  • Implement security frameworks across various technology layers.
  • Drive observability initiatives for monitoring system health.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Establish best practices for infrastructure deployment and automation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
  • 5+ years building large-scale cloud infrastructure in production environments.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
  • Experience in building microservices architectures and designing RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of AWS services and quick learning of new technologies.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EMR, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.).
  • Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hive, Airflow, etc.
  • Exposure to enterprise observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and participating in technical decisions.
  • Background working with cross-functional teams including data engineers and product managers.
