Position Overview

Autodesk’s Cyber Defense team is seeking a Senior Principal IAM Security Engineer to lead the strategy, design, and execution of secure, scalable identity solutions across the enterprise. This role involves hands-on leadership for identity architecture, Zero Trust enforcement, Non-Human Identity governance, and automation of identity workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead secure identity architecture across platforms like SailPoint, Entra ID, AWS IAM, and PAM.
  • Implement Zero Trust identity controls including phishing-resistant MFA and conditional access.
  • Define and govern lifecycle management for Non-Human Identities.
  • Manage Threat Detection platforms and integrate IAM systems using APIs and protocols.
  • Design Role-Based Access Control frameworks and automate Day 1 access.
  • Secure and automate identity for DevOps environments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Audit for SOX, SOC2, FedRAMP, and internal policies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in incident response and risk assessments.

Minimum Qualifications

Over 10 years of experience in IAM and Security Engineering with at least 3 years at a principal level. Proven expertise in identity architecture, secure access governance, scripting, and platform integrations. Must be technology-agnostic, with hands-on experience in platforms like SailPoint, Azure AD/Entra ID, AWS IAM, and CyberArk, and strong familiarity with modern authentication protocols.
