About the role
Senior Expansion Account Executive
Are you tenacious and have experience building trusted relationships? Do you love the craft of sales, especially complex enterprise-level sales? The Account Executive, Mid Market is responsible for growing sales in ~40 accounts within Autodesk’s Construction business. This job is assigned a sales quota and performance is measured by meeting quarterly and annual targets by up-selling, add-on sales, and cross-selling.
Position Overview
This position is remote and reports to the Mid Market Sales Manager for the Northeast US region. The assigned territory is predominantly in the NY/NJ metro area. You’ll be a trusted advisor for customers. You’ll increase sales by expanding renewals and displacing competitive products. This is a rare opportunity to join Autodesk’s fast-growth construction business. You’ll make an impact and bring much-needed technology to the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage your book of business; sell new products and expand existing renewals to meet quarterly targets
- Lead account strategy and manage the sales cycle for new sales and renewals
- Produce new opportunity pipeline each week to meet quarterly and annual quota targets
- Be a model representative of Autodesk. Lead presentations to clients, build trusted-advisor relationships with customers, and attend marketing events/conferences
- Exemplify team-selling culture. Collaborate with your extended account team, which include: Business Development Rep, Technical Solutions Executive, Customer Success Managers, channel partners, and many other team members
- Deliver accurate forecasts of your business
- Lead strategic account planning for your accounts, collaborating with extended account team
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with experience in quota attainment
- Enterprise software sales experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction or Manufacturing industries
- Experience prospecting and meeting with C-level contacts
- Demonstrated closing and negotiation skills

Salary Transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $208,100 and $373,010. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
