  • Framework Development: Contribute to research frameworks and design guidelines that inform how we approach user experience challenges.
  • Research Synthesis: Analyze user research data (interviews, observations, usage patterns) to identify themes, surface insights, and inform design recommendations.
  • User Needs Discovery: Work with researchers and subject matter experts to define user needs, goals, and context through interviews and contextual inquiry.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare research reports, user journey maps, workflow diagrams, and presentations that communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between user research and design/engineering teams, ensuring user needs are clearly communicated and incorporated into solutions.
  • Design Exploration: Create prototypes and design concepts to test research hypotheses and communicate potential solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, UX Research and Design, or a related design field with familiarity in AEC domains.
  • Experience with user research methods, including interviews, usability testing, and contextual inquiry.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize research findings into design implications.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design rationale.
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a research environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with construction, AEC, or other complex industrial domains.
  • Experience with data visualization or information design.
  • Background in front-end development (React, HTML/CSS, JavaScript) for prototyping.
  • Experience with Autodesk products or similar professional software tools.
