The Australian Taxation Office is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader for the role of Deputy Commissioner Strategy & Architecture within the Enterprise Solutions and Technology Group. This key role sets the strategic direction of the ATO’s technology ecosystem and drives investment decisions while ensuring digital and data services remain resilient, secure, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Oversee enterprise architecture, IT portfolio planning, technology governance, strategic sourcing, and risk management.
- Lead a workforce of over 350 professionals across 15 sites.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, including the Chief Information Officer and other Deputy Commissioners to align technology strategy with organisational priorities.
- Develop innovative, integrated IT solutions that enhance digital services for communities and stakeholders.
- Engage with stakeholders to anticipate needs and deliver persuasive strategic advice.
Working Environment
This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis from various metropolitan areas including Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD or Sydney CBD. It involves significant collaboration and leadership in a diverse and innovative environment.
