About the Role
The Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is actively seeking a Microsoft Cloud Engineer at the APS Level 6. This critical role involves ensuring the secure and reliable operation of key Microsoft cloud services, including Exchange Online, Exchange On‑Premises, Microsoft Teams, and Intune.
You will be responsible for maintaining hybrid environments, ensuring configurations adhere to strict ASD Secure Cloud requirements, and contributing significantly to system monitoring, comprehensive documentation, and ongoing platform improvements. The position also requires coordination of technical initiatives, collaboration with network and security partners, and effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the secure and reliable operation of Microsoft cloud services (Exchange Online, Exchange On‑Premises, Microsoft Teams, Intune).
- Maintain hybrid cloud environments and ensure compliance with ASD Secure Cloud requirements.
- Contribute to system monitoring, documentation, and continuous platform improvements.
- Coordinate technical initiatives and engage with network and security partners.
- Communicate effectively with diverse technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Desired Experience & Skills
Highly desirable candidates will possess 5+ years of enterprise‑level experience with Microsoft cloud services. Strong relationship‑building skills with internal teams, vendors, and service providers are also a key asset for success in this role.
