About The Role
Operating within Student Experience, the Student Advocacy Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the delivery of ACU's Student Advocacy Service and ensuring the provision of timely, accurate and student-centred information, advice and referrals to support students with navigating policies and processes. The Student Advocacy Coordinator manages a small team of Student Advocacy Support Officers who provide confidential, free and accessible services for all current ACU students regardless of location or mode of study. This role oversees facilitation of individual appointments, information sessions for students and staff, and the development and maintenance of resources that support understanding of university policies, procedures, and decision-making pathways. Working collaboratively with academic and professional staff, this position will maintain effective stakeholder relationships to ensure the advocacy service is informed of changes to policies and delivers consistent, high-quality advice and student supports. The Coordinator will also lead the promotion of the Student Advocacy Service to enhance awareness, engagement and appropriate referrals across the University, support continuous improvement through monitoring demand and identifying emerging student issues, and contribute to the review of resources, processes and reporting that strengthen student wellbeing, fairness and access to support in alignment with ACU priorities.
What We Offer

Total remuneration is valued to $124,509 - $134,699 total rem (pro rata) pa, including a salary component of $105,212 - $113,823 (pro rata) pa (HEW 7), employer contribution to superannuation, and annual leave loading. You will receive 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff, and annual leave loading equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
