Position Overview
At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are seeking a talented and self-motivated 2026 Engineering Intern to help create the future of flight.
Responsibilities
Role Requirements: Experience in Software, Mechanical, Systems, Robotics, Flight Physics, Autonomy, Electrical, Structures Engineering or related fields. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive and self-directed environment.
Internship Duration: 10-12 weeks at one of our sites:
- Manassas, VA Headquarters – Engineering and Product Development
- Cambridge, MA – Research and Development
- Bridgeport, WV – Manufacturing
- Columbus, MS – Manufacturing and Final Assembly

Minimum & Preferred Requirements
Enrollment in a bachelor’s program focused on Engineering or a related field is required. Applicants must be U.S. Persons with background knowledge in areas such as Aerospace, Flight Physics, Aerostructures, Computer Science, Autonomy, Robotics, Mechanical Systems, Propulsion, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering. Enrollment in a Master’s or PhD program and participation in extracurricular activities are preferred.
Physical Requirements
The position requires the ability to travel to Aurora locations.
