About This Role
As a Security Engineering Lead at Audible, you will advocate for robust information security across all software development and business processes. You will work closely with Security Engineers, Application Developers, System Engineers, and Business Leaders to protect customers and the business. In this role, you will drive the security architecture for Audible's web and mobile applications and services, ensuring secure-by-default and defense-in-depth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive security architecture for Audible's industry leading technology.
- Partner with development teams to integrate robust security measures.
- Conduct and guide deep testing to identify vulnerabilities.
- Research emerging threats and guide security improvements.
- Lead and mentor teams in complex security initiatives.
About the Team
The Audible Information Security team is hands-on, focused on protecting networks, servers, applications, and data assets. You will be part of a world class team obsessed with protecting customer trust and advocating security across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 7+ years in security engineering with hands-on technical expertise.
- 1+ year in a technical leadership role.
- Experience in application security, penetration testing, threat modeling, and risk mitigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or advanced certifications in relevant fields.
- Strong understanding of web, networking, and cloud technologies.
- Experience in cyber-resiliency including DDoS and bot protection.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven record in leading cross-organization security initiatives.
