Role Overview
The Site Reliability Engineering Manager role requires a strategic, people-first leader to manage a team of SREs. You will drive operational excellence, incident response, and system reliability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of site reliability engineers.
- Drive incident management and root cause remediation.
- Architect scalable monitoring, alerting, and automation frameworks using Grafana, Thousand Eyes, and Go Alert.
- Configure storage alarms and manage capacity proactively.
- Own reliability roadmap including SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Infrastructure, IT Support, and Desktop Services.
- Manage and optimize JAMS batch workflows.
- Champion infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native practices.
- Oversee CAB meetings for change review and risk mitigation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles.
- 2+ years managing technical teams with strong mentorship skills.
- Experience with Grafana, Thousand Eyes, Go Alert, and storage alarms in Grafana/CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Python, SQL, and PowerShell.
- Experience with ITSM platforms like Ivanti and ServiceNow.
- Strong communication skills and risk mitigation expertise.
Bonus Skills & Experience
- Cost optimization and strategic standardization experience.
- Managing hybrid cloud environments and global endpoint fleets.
- Familiarity with endpoint telemetry and predictive failure forecasting.
- Passion for building inclusive, high-performing teams.
Additional Information
This is a fully remote position operating in Eastern or Central Time. Candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a functional home office setup.
