The Role: Senior Cyber Defense Detection Engineer

This role is integral to expanding the Cyber Defense Center, both internally and for the market. The candidate will design, implement, and optimize detection rules on SIEM platforms and other tools, supporting cybersecurity analysts in the Security Operations Center.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize detection rules for SIEM.
  • Develop complementary detection solutions for emerging threats.
  • Support security incidents with forensic and coordination skills.
  • Advise colleagues to reduce attack surfaces and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

A completed degree in computer science or related field, extensive experience in IT security, and leadership in cross-functional projects. Experience in DFIR, Incident Response, and knowledge of Windows, Linux, and scripting (Python or PowerShell) is required. Proficiency in German (C1 minimum) and good English (B2) is expected.
