For our Output Solutions business unit in the Tribe Operation Services, we are looking for you as an Application Engineer Output Management Systems (Workflow Control) at our Karlsruhe location. Our Tribe Operation Services ensures that documents are prepared appropriately for our customers – both for electronic provision and physical dispatch. Annually, we create almost 2 billion PDF documents for electronic mailboxes and produce around 835 million DIN A4 print pages. These are printed, enveloped, and sent with approximately 190 million letters at our three locations.
Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the implementation, configuration, and further development of specialized applications and services in the area of document creation, document management for digital full-color printing, and electronic output channels in a Linux system environment. Your focus is on the support and further development of the central workflow system.
- You create or optimize processes in the workflow system based on sysHUB (Canon) in conjunction with Oracle databases and Web-Services according to technical or customer-specific requirements.
- You automate and optimize routine activities, operational tasks, and associated document management processes.
- You create functional and test concepts, process descriptions, as well as architecture and system documentation.
- You are responsible for the provision and operation of applications, components, and subsystems in the Output Management System, including incident and problem management.
Your Profile
- You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable completed IT-related education with several years of professional experience in document management.
- You have good knowledge of integrating processes into technical workflows, Oracle databases, and configuring database queries with SQL, Web-Services, and application configurations under Linux.
- You bring sound knowledge of common data formats and production processes in digital printing and output management environments.
- You have fluent German language skills (min. C1 level) and good English language skills (B2 level).
- You are willing to independently acquire knowledge on new topics.
- You work independently and structured and are characterized by a high degree of team and cooperation ability.
