Your Role as Application Engineer Output Management Systeme

Atruvia AG is looking for an Application Engineer Output Management Systeme for their Output Solutions business unit within the Tribe Operation Services (OUSOPS) at their Karlsruhe location.

The Tribe Operation Services is responsible for output channel-specific document preparation for electronic and physical delivery to customers. They generate approximately 2 billion PDF documents for electronic mailboxes and around 800 million DIN A4 print pages, which are produced, enveloped, and dispatched as approximately 190 million letters at their printing sites in Berlin, Karlsruhe, and Münster.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and management of specialized applications and services in document creation and document management for digital full-color printing and electronic output channels within a Linux system environment.
  • You will automate and optimize routine tasks, operational activities, and related document management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You will create technical/test concepts, process descriptions, and architecture and system documentation to support smooth development and operation.
  • You will be responsible for the deployment and operation of applications/components/subsystems within the Output Management System, including incident and problem management.
  • You will analyze metadata, common databases, and log files to gain valuable insights and improve processing.

Your Profile

  • You have a completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist with several years of professional experience, or comparable qualifications in document management.
  • You possess good knowledge of application configurations under Linux and common databases, as well as scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • You have sound knowledge of common data formats and production processes in digital printing and output management.
  • You are fluent in German (at least C1 level) and have good English skills (B2 level).
  • You are willing to independently acquire new knowledge and are characterized by strong analytical skills. Your independent and structured way of working, combined with strong teamwork and cooperation abilities, completes your profile.
