The Role: Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at ATPCO, you will build and optimize data pipelines, manage data storage and processing systems, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our data platform. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver efficient, high-quality solutions. This role involves working on cutting-edge solutions handling hundreds of terabytes of data daily within the Airline industry using AWS.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with teams to design data models and schemas
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Optimize data storage systems including warehouses and lakes using AWS services
  • Implement real-time data streaming architectures with AWS or Apache Kafka
  • Perform data cleansing, profiling, and transformation tasks
  • Implement data security and privacy measures
  • Design data architectures following Data Mesh principles
  • Mentor junior data engineers

Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Proven experience with large-scale data processing systems
  • Deep understanding of data modeling and management principles
  • Expertise in SQL for relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience with Data Mesh principles and AWS ecosystem
  • Experience with real-time data streaming (Amazon Kinesis or Apache Kafka)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
