The SAP team in the German-speaking region consists of long-standing, experienced SAP consultants whose expertise covers the entire SAP product range. They plan, implement, and operate cross-industry SAP projects. In this exciting role, as a Senior Architect SAP MDG, you will provide highly qualified technical consulting to national and international clients, supporting them in developing strategies for their future IT landscapes.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Architect SAP MDG

• Identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements.
• Moderate workshops to capture business and technology requirements, and for solution validation.
• Provide functional and technical expertise for the planning, design, implementation, and testing of functional and technical features for SAP Material Master in product/system/solution business, specifically concerning MDG-M and related applications like PLM (Teamcenter & Oracle Agile) with complex Bill of Material structures, including external supplier catalogs.
• Create and review cost estimates for customer requirements related to RFPs and RFQs for new implementations and enhancements.
• Develop solution concepts based on MM and MDG standard functionalities such such as Central Governance, Consolidation, and Mass Processing, Data Quality Management, as well as various customer-specific enhancements (complex material maintenance workflows with PLM interface, various UI adjustments, data model extensions, multiple validations, and derivations).
• Plan and execute solution implementation in parallel (dependency).
• Plan and oversee development, configuration, integration, testing, and data migration by various global support teams.
• Create documentation adhering to relevant methods and tools (Jira or SolutionManager).
• Develop templates for client decision-makers at team leader level and deliver customer/user presentations and workshops in English and German within your area of responsibility.
• Build expertise in innovative business or technological topics and actively contribute to Atos’ internal knowledge management.
• Proactively identify business opportunities within ongoing projects and contribute technically to corresponding sales activities.
• Act as a liaison between business functions and the technical team.
• Ensure ad-hoc training and user support as needed.
• Work autonomously and independently.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or equivalent vocational training with extensive professional experience.
• Several years (~8 years) of professional and project experience in consulting in the SAP technology domain and business processes for master data maintenance in SAP ERP & S/4HANA projects.
• Experience in implementing, migrating, data importing, rolling out, and executing SAP projects.
• Proficiency in methods and tools used in SAP projects (e.g., JIRA, SAP Solution Manager).
• SAP MDG module experience is a prerequisite. Additionally, you possess practical experience with current SAP technologies required for SAP S/4HANA projects (e.g., Fiori, CDS-Views, SAP CAP, SAP RAP, Business Technology Platform). Knowledge of BRF+ is a plus.
• Experience with SAP software engineering processes and associated methods and tools.
• Strong experience in business requirements management, solution design, and effort estimation, with the ability to manage business stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of business contexts and processes (O2C & P2P).
• Familiarity with AMS processes (e.g., ITSM or CHARM).
• Fluent German and English language skills, both spoken and written.
• Proactive generation of cross-project business opportunities and technical responsibility for individual activities in collaboration with sales.

• Willingness to travel for international/national project assignments.
