The Role of a Consultant at Atos
As a Consultant at Atos, you will report to the company headquarters in Irving, TX. This role involves architecting, designing, and developing highly available and scalable multi-tier enterprise applications. You will drive projects through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across various domains. Key responsibilities include implementing new functionalities to ensure high reliability, availability, and performance of applications, along with coding and designing solutions based on Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
You will be responsible for deploying technical code components for application project go-live in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production environments. This also includes defining testing strategies, performing Unit testing for code changes, and obtaining alignment and sign-off on drafted testing scenarios, test cases, and sample data.
A critical aspect of the role is tracking project-related questions and defect trackers, especially those raised in System Integration Testing (SIT) and UAT phases, to aid in Defect Prevention (DP) analysis. You will review project vision documents with stakeholders, architects, and testing teams to draft BRDs for technical teams, defining and developing IT architecture strategies and roadmaps.
The Consultant also conducts impact investigations of requirements by scrutinizing BRDs, prepares System Requirements (SR) by evaluating technical feasibility, and conducts Technical Impact Assessments (TIA). Reviewing technical High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents is also part of the role. You will debug, troubleshoot, and resolve non-routine and complex mission-critical production issues impacting application availability, working with development teams for permanent resolutions and ensuring SLAs compliance. Mapping processes to holistically examine business flow and identify improvement opportunities is also expected.
This role may involve providing products and support to specific industry groups such as Retail & Logistics, Automotive, Banking and Finance, Healthcare, Insurance, and Information Technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field.
- Five (5) years in any occupation with IT experience, or related.
- Five (5) years of required IT, or related experience must include:
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Mainframe (e.g., JCL, Cobol, CICS)
- Databases (e.g., DB2)
- Programming Languages (e.g., SQL)
- IBM Application Development Tool for Online Screen and Maps (IBM Screen Definition Facility II (SDF II))
- File Storage Access Method for Z/OS Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM)
- Mainframe Job Scheduling (CA 7)
- Reporting tool (Eazytrieve)
- Application Batch flow (Batch job cycle monitoring)
Work Arrangement
This is a Roving/Telecommuting position that reports to the company headquarters in Irving, TX. You will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S. for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S. and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S. The role offers the flexibility to work remotely or telecommute.
Salary
The salary for this position ranges from $156,998 - $157,998 per year.
