Responsibilities of a Senior Support Engineer, Cloud Migrations

  • Work directly with Atlassian customers and partners to help migrate their Atlassian products from On-premise environments to the Cloud.
  • Engage in calls with customers to provide regular updates on their migration progress.
  • Collaborate with support teams across various regions and/or cross-functional departments within Atlassian, such as CSM, EA's, and Developers, to ensure the best outcomes for customer migration projects.
  • Contribute actively to the creation and thorough review of knowledge articles.
  • Participate in release readiness activities to ensure smooth product updates and deployments.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in support, software services, and/or system administration, serving a large end-user community.
  • 2+ years of experience working with enterprise customers in a high-touch support model.
  • Strong database skills, including the expertise to write and update SQL queries with ease.
  • Proficiency in writing scripts using languages such as Python, bash/shell.
  • Experience with identity and access management technologies including SSO, SAML, LDAP, Active Directory, and SSL.
  • Familiarity and experience with Splunk for logging and monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of APIs and REST calls.
  • Experience working with different operating systems, such as Linux, Unix, and Windows.
  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals.
  • Experience supporting Java applications, especially understanding JVM components.
  • Proven ability to effectively handle complex problems, quickly learn new technologies, and a strong enthusiasm to evolve as a technical expert.
  • Experience working in an Enterprise environment or directly with Enterprise customers.
  • Exhibit a team-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and roles.
  • Prior experience in server-to-cloud migrations is considered an added advantage.
