Responsibilities
The Principal Support Engineer Cloud Migrations is a key technical leader on the Cloud Migrations Support team. This role supports Atlassian’s largest enterprise customers during their migration to the cloud. You will work directly with customers and internal stakeholders while mentoring your peers and expanding support capabilities.
- Engage with enterprise customers on strategic cloud migration.
- Collaborate with internal product, engineering and support teams.
- Provide expert troubleshooting, debugging and root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain knowledge articles and process guides.
- Act as a customer champion while simplifying complex issues.
What You’ll Do
You will drive the strategic direction for customer cloud migrations, support detailed technical discussions, and mentor team members on best practices in troubleshooting and process optimization. Your role demands a deep understanding of migration tooling, APIs, and supporting technologies including SQL, networks, and identity services. You will be pivotal in coordinating internal resources to resolve migration blockers and support enterprise scale operations.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates have 10+ years in support, software services, or system administration and 5+ years working with enterprise customers. Key technical skills include strong database (SQL), network and identity technology experience, as well as familiarity with operating systems, scripting, and cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud. Experience with Atlassian products is a plus.
