Mobile Software Engineer, React Native

Overview

The Rovo Mobile team at Atlassian is actively seeking an experienced Mobile Software Engineer, React Native to significantly contribute to building our AI vision on mobile devices. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the Atlassian Rovo app, collaborating closely with design teams to innovate new features and workflows, and rigorously verifying their impact and usability.

As an engineer within this dynamic team, you will drive feature development and ensure regular, high-quality releases of our application. The team is deeply customer-focused, committed to crafting exceptional user experiences and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to empower Atlassian users.

Responsibilities

• Build high quality features and infrastructure that is fast, testable, and scalable.
• Drive strong collaboration with other engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points and iterate on great solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews and documentation, and take on complex bug fixes.
• Lead projects, from the technical design, implementation, and launch to operation.
• Onboard and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience in React Native development and either iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development experience.
• Bachelor's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience).
• Understanding of modern mobile software development, including testing, tool development, the release process, and monitoring.
• Experience with releasing with experimentation a plus.
• Experience building mobile applications at scale.
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies in a high velocity environment.
• Experience engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.
