Global Strategic Engagement Director

Atlassian is seeking a Global Strategic Engagement Director to join their Global Strategic Engagements (GSE) team. This senior role is responsible for accelerating transformative revenue outcomes with top global customers. You will act as a trusted advisor to Global Sales, collaborating with internal teams to align Atlassian’s strategic capabilities and commercial models with customer needs, ensuring operational excellence at scale. This position also provides support for forecasted deals to advance, accelerate, and unblock them.

Responsibilities

  • Deal Guidance and Leadership: Contribute to deal strategy for top accounts, focusing on high-revenue potential customers, major transformations, complex needs, or balance of trade negotiations.
  • Executive Engagement: Partner with ExecOps, Customer Engagement, and Accounts Teams to deepen C-level relationships and position Atlassian at the core of customer transformation initiatives.
  • Deal Acceleration and Revenue Growth: Collaborate with Sales and Finance to unlock multimillion-dollar opportunities, accelerate sales cycles, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Program Management & Delivery: Operationalize and deliver essential programs for consistent deal closure and triage processes, coordinating with Sales LT, VOC, and Customer Engagement teams.
  • Playbook Development: Create and scale repeatable frameworks and strategies applicable across regions and industries.
  • Customer Success: Partner with Success teams to ensure smooth handoffs and accelerate time-to-value by aiding customer adoption and ROI realization from Atlassian solutions.
  • Partner Engagement: Collaborate with the partner ecosystem to drive positive customer outcomes and experiences during the sales cycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal teams to accelerate and deliver customer outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in SaaS or consulting, finance, or legal, with a proven track record in managing executive relationships and driving large, complex deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives and boards.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and orchestrating strategic programs across complex organizations.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of digital transformation, cloud, AI, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience developing and scaling strategic frameworks or playbooks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and drive outcomes at scale.
