About the Data Science Intern Role at Atlassian

As a Data Science Intern, you'll report to a manager within the Data Science team, focusing on a structured project to demonstrate data science's value. You'll build critical understanding, share recommendations with peers and leadership, and directly influence product strategy.
What You'll Do
- Measure the impact of product strategy by designing and analyzing experiments and launches.
- Develop data-driven recommendations and present insights to peers and leadership, influencing key business decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, design, and analytics teams to enhance customer experiences.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to commit to a 12-week full-time (40 hours/week) program from November 2026 - February 2027.
- Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's or Master's degree, returning to your program after the internship, and graduating by January 2028.
- Proficiency in manipulating data using one of SQL, R, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous project, internship, or publication showcasing experimental design, causal inference, or strong analytical storytelling.
- Experience with experiment platforms, dashboards, or data visualization tools.
