About the role
About Atlas
Atlas is a CRMx for the agency recruitment industry. We give recruiters a living memory of everything they say, hear, read, and write, and we're building the digital workers that will make them tomorrow's market leaders. We're backed by Smedvig Capital and founded by repeat entrepreneurs whose previous company is doing $50M in revenue today.
Around 40% of the company is pledged to the team. Not options, the underlying equity.
We have a clear set of values and expect anyone joining us to be aligned with them: https://rb.gy/v9r6b1
The Role
We are looking for a back-end focussed product engineer who is back end heavy to join our team. The work is extremely varied and because we are rapidly building the future of technology in our industry, you'll face a lot of complex problems head on.Your work will focus initially around the integration stack (API, webhooks, and MCP servers) as well as building autonomous digital works.
Who You Are (these are hard requirements)
- You've built production code for at least three years
- You've stuck around at your prior companies (a couple of years)
- You've got experience in early stage businesses already
- Your former managers will gush when we take the reference (we do this at the back end of every process)
- You are quality focussed, not shipping focus, and see your code as an extension of your own skills.
- You are already using agents for +75% of the actual code writing and have found yourself becoming more of an orchestrator than a code writer.
The type of environment you prefer
- You are autonomous and prefer fewer meetings.
- You don't enjoy working with junior engineers
- You want a remote environment.
Stack context:
We're TypeScript, React and Node. We use AWS and Google Cloud for different parts of our system. Our DB's are Elastic and postgres. If you're actually reading this (and not a bot), drop a note to jordan@recruitwithatlas.com with your resume and a direct explanation of how you match the above. If you're a fit, I'll respond.
Note: We scan inbound applications for AI-stuffed submissions. Using AI to help write is fine. Injecting keywords without the underlying experience is not.
