The Role: Community Experience Specialist

This role supports the Atlas Arena game and community by managing Discord, supporting virtual live events, and onboarding new college players. You will help create engaging, cinematic, and intentional interactions with players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Discord server including roles, bots, and onboarding flows.
  • Engage actively with the community by posting, replying, and driving engagement.
  • Host and support high-stakes virtual live events, especially during late evenings.
  • Onboard new college players and ensure they feel welcomed and supported.
  • Create memorable player experiences from first impressions to live moments.
  • Coordinate and manage volunteer mods and live support helpers.
  • Monitor community trends and feedback to help iterate on experience and product.

About You

  • You are Discord-native with experience managing servers.
  • You are a true gamer with hands-on experience and a love for gaming culture.
  • You are high-agency, detail oriented, and stay cool under pressure.
  • You are a personable individual comfortable being the face of the community.
  • Experience with streaming or hosting virtual events is highly encouraged.

Compensation & Structure

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Bay Area. The salary ranges from $50,000 to $75,000 USD based on experience, with full-time W2 employment status and meaningful equity compensation.
