The Product Owner is the single point of accountability for assigned applications across Linxon's engineering, enterprise, ERP, and SaaS landscape, ensuring applications are stable, governed, compliant, and deliver business value.

The role owns the Build – Run – Own lifecycle for applications, acting as the bridge between business users, architecture, delivery, security, vendors, and operations.

What will you do?

Application Ownership
  • Act as the named Product / Application Owner for assigned systems: Engineering & BIM tools, Project Controls platforms, Enterprise and SaaS applications, SAP ERP and support‑function tools (where applicable).
  • Own the full lifecycle from onboarding to retirement.
  • Ensure clear purpose, ownership, and accountability for each application.
Business Demand & Prioritisation
  • Represent business stakeholders and users.
  • Translate business needs into clear, prioritised requirements.
  • Balance new demand with stability, risk, and technical debt.
  • Ensure applications deliver measurable value and usability.
Roadmap, Backlog & Change Control
  • Define and maintain application roadmaps.
  • Prioritise enhancements, fixes, and changes based on impact and risk.
  • Approve or reject changes with Architecture and Security.
  • Prevent uncontrolled customisation and scope creep.
Architecture, Delivery & Transformation
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and delivery teams.
  • Ensure compliance with architecture, integration, and security standards.
  • Support application separation and migration using Discover → Separate → Migrate → Stabilize.
  • Participate in cutovers, hypercare, and BAU handover.
Stability & BAU Management
  • Own application stability and operational health.
  • Work with L2/L3 teams to reduce recurring incidents.
  • Plan upgrades, patches, and releases in a controlled manner.
  • Improve reliability and performance over time.
Vendor & Licence Coordination
  • Act as functional owner for application vendors.
  • Validate usage and roadmap alignment.
  • Work with SAM & Vendor Manager on renewals and optimisation.
  • Prevent vendor‑driven lock‑in.
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with security, IAM, data protection, and AI governance requirements.
  • Support audits with clear ownership and change records.
  • Identify and escalate risks with impact‑based recommendations.
AI & Regulatory Accountability
  • Own engineering accountability for AI-enabled and AI-embedded applications.
  • Ensure compliance with EU AI Act, GDPR, and enterprise AI governance requirements, including: AI system inventory accuracy, risk classification and human oversight requirements, technical documentation and audit readiness.
  • Partner with Legal, Risk, and Data teams to ensure compliant AI adoption and operations.
Financial & Risk Accountability
  • Own application portfolio run costs, transformation budgets, and vendor spend optimization.
  • Drive measurable ROI from application rationalization and modernization.
  • Proactively manage delivery, operational, security, and regulatory risks.

Experience, Education And Other Required

  • 6–10+ years as Product Owner or Application Owner.
  • Experience owning enterprise or engineering applications.
  • Strong understanding of application and SaaS lifecycles.
  • Ability to balance business demand, technology constraints, and risk.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and decision‑making skills.
  • Clear ownership and roadmaps maintained.
  • Improved stability and user satisfaction.
  • Controlled backlog and reduced unplanned work.
  • Successful migrations with minimal disruption.
