Role Description
As an Automation Engineer - Siemens PCS 7 / TIA Portal, you will be involved in the complete automation lifecycle:
- System design and architecture for PCS 7 and TIA Portal environments
- PLC/DCS programming and configuration
- CFC/SFC engineering and batch implementation
- FAT and SAT preparation and execution
- Commissioning and startup at customer sites
- Optimization and troubleshooting of process control systems
- Collaboration with international engineering teams
Remote work is supported during engineering, programming, and preparation phases. On-site presence is required during commissioning, startup, and key project milestones at customer locations across Europe and internationally.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong experience in industrial process automation
- Practical knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 and/or TIA Portal
- Experience with CFC/SFC or structured PLC programming
- Understanding of process control concepts (PID, interlocks, safety logic)
- Commissioning experience in industrial environments
- EU work eligibility
Highly advantageous:
- Batch (ISA-88) experience
- Experience in pharma, chemical, energy, or food and beverage industries
- EPLAN Electrical Schematics
- Safety systems (SIL, F-systems)
- WinCC or WinCC Unified knowledge
- English proficiency (German is a plus)
