About the Temporary Outside Plant Technician Role
The Temporary Outside Plant Technician works with heavy duty power equipment and hand tools in the construction and repair of outside plant cable facilities, conduit and pole lines. They load required tools and materials into an assigned Company vehicle, drive to work locations, and use heavy equipment responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy duty power equipment and hand tools.
- Analyze complex schematic drawings to plan work tasks.
- Perform construction operations requiring heavy physical labor.
- Handle preventative maintenance on company tools and vehicles.
- Manage time reporting and maintain safety standards.
Additional Duties
The role involves loading and unloading heavy equipment, following safety protocols, and performing vehicle housekeeping. The Technician must communicate with work groups, respond to customer inquiries, and adhere to quality, production, and safety standards. A Class A Driver's License is required on the job, and compliance with federally mandated drug and alcohol testing programs is necessary.
Working Hours and Location
This is a 40-hour temporary fixed term position located in Gardena, CA at S Vermont Ave - Wcr:17040 S Vermont Ave.
