Original Job Summary
Overview
AT&T is seeking a highly skilled Java Application Developer with over 7 years of experience in core Java, C++, Tomcat, Oracle/MySQL, COTS Product (Neustar: Transunion) and microservices development. This role involves full software development lifecycle engagement including design, coding, testing, production release and support in an agile team environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC including design, coding, testing, release, and support.
- Work in an agile team to deliver high quality code.
- Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs, performance, and display issues.
- Collaborate with Leads, Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders.
- Design and develop cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
- Emphasize automated testing and documentation.
Must-Have Skills
- 7+ years of practical experience in Java/JEE programming and microservices development.
- Proficiency in Java 8 or above, and experience with COTS Product (Neustar: Transunion).
- Experience with Web Services (REST/SOAP) and Spring frameworks (MVC & Boot).
- Strong background in Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and test-driven development.
- Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL), Apache/PERL, Maven/Gradle and Git-based version control.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and agile environments.
- Excellent communication skills and passion for documentation.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with application servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss, and Glassfish.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure), Docker containerization and UNIX (Linux) environments.
- Basic front-end knowledge (Angular, React, NodeJS) and distributed systems.
- Java and Microsoft Certified Azure Developer certifications are a plus.
- Experience with process management software like JIRA.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Additional Information
