The Consumer Technology eXperience (CTX) Compliance Team oversees compliance areas for the broader CTX organization. CTX-Compliance designs, leads, and implements a digital data privacy and accessibility program to meet corporate and regulatory needs. It serves as the interface to the Chief Compliance Office, Legal, Regulatory and Audit partners.Job Summary
This Lead System Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering AI‑driven, data‑intensive, and cloud‑native platforms supporting AT&T’s Consumer Technology eXperience (CTX) digital and compliance ecosystems. This role requires deep, hands‑on experience in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Data Engineering, combined with enterprise‑level system design, modernization, and cross‑functional collaboration.Key Roles & Responsibilities
AI / GenAI / Agentic AI Engineering
- Design, build, and operate production‑grade AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI solutions at enterprise scale.
- Develop Agentic AI applications using Python‑based frameworks (e.g., ADK) or equivalent orchestration platforms.
- Implement LLM‑based workflows including prompt orchestration, RAG, and autonomous agent patterns.
- Work on with Data Science and ML teams to operationalize AI solutions with security, auditability, and observability.
- Embed responsible AI practices including privacy, logging, monitoring, and governance controls.
Data Engineering & Intelligent Platforms
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines (ingestion, cleansing, transformation, enrichment).
- Build real‑time and batch data pipelines using Kafka and event‑driven architectures.
- Engineer data platforms using Python, PySpark, and Databricks on Azure (preferred).
- Apply expertise in data modeling, data architecture, data mining, and data warehousing.
- Process structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data at scale.
System Architecture
- Define and enforce engineering standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.
- Drive legacy modernization including monolith‑to‑microservices and cloud migrations.
- Design microservices‑based architectures to expose AI and data capabilities.
Full‑Stack & API Engineering
- Develop scalable solutions using: Backend: Node.js (TypeScript preferred), Laravel (PHP) Frontend: Vue.js or equivalent modern UI frameworks
- Design secure, well‑governed APIs (REST, GraphQL) with authentication, auditing, and logging.
- Ensure code quality, testability, and maintainability.
Accessibility, Security & Compliance
- Integrate accessibility‑by‑design aligned to WCAG standards.
- Embed accessibility, security, privacy, and SOX controls into application and AI workflows.
- Integrate automated and manual accessibility testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience developing Agentic AI applications using Python‑based frameworks (e.g., ADK) or equivalent orchestration platforms.
- Hands‑on experience building AI/ML, Generative AI, or Agentic AI solutions in production environments.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or System Engineering.
- 5+ years of strong, demonstrated expertise in PHP / Laravel development, including production‑grade applications.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing, developing, and maintaining desktop, mobile, and responsive web applications using Laravel, Node.js, and Vue.js, deployed in Azure container‑based environments.
- 5+ years of strong, demonstrated expertise in Node.js, including API and microservices development.
- 5+ years of Vue.js front‑end development experience, including responsive frameworks, CSS, JavaScript, and modern UI patterns.
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing database solutions, with expert‑level PostgreSQL (PGSQL) coding, performance tuning, and industry‑standard normalization practices.
- Strong hands‑on expertise in: Python and PySpark, Building ETL/ELT pipelines end‑to‑end, Distributed and cloud‑native architectures.
- Experience with: Event‑driven and streaming architectures (Kafka), Microservices and API‑based platforms, Secure coding and compliance‑driven development.
- Experience with OAuth providers, cloud logging, auditing, and monitoring tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Education
