Overview

Astrion is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer at Tinker AFB, OK. The role supports the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate by providing systems engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, development, test, operation, sustainment, and system disposal.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or 15 years of related experience with a minimum of 8 years in a DoD setting. Key experiences include:

  • Requirements development and production deployment
  • Architectures development and modeling & simulation (MBSE)
  • Verification, validation, technical data package development, and configuration management
  • Experience with network architectures, embedded systems and application deployment
  • Familiarity with DoD Acquisition processes

Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Engineer will:

  • Provide systems, electrical, and mechanical engineering support for new and legacy DoD systems
  • Coordinate engineering tasks for modifications and upgrades
  • Support customers via data analysis, repair requirements, and reliability/maintainability actions
  • Participate in test and evaluation phases including planning, execution, and reporting
  • Review and ensure technical documents are complete and accurate
  • Evaluate contractor proposals and monitor test efforts
